I have always dreamed, written and walked in the hills.  My first memories are of the Munsters,  Basil Rathbone's Holmes, Fu Manchu and Flash Gordon.  I fell in love with the ghost stories of MR James, the madness of Edgar Allen Poe and the overwhelming prose of HP Lovecraft.  My favourite words are meniscus and liminal.  
When I'm not earning a living or writing, I am climbing the hills of Yorkshire, the Lakes, the Cairngorms and Highlands.
